AES Lifetime Achievement Award
The AES Lifetime Achievement Award is given for exceptional career contributions to the fields of Electrophoresis, Electrokinetics, and related areas. One award is presented every year at the AES Annual Meeting. The recipient of the award will receive a plaque, a certificate of lifetime membership in the society, and one complementary registration to the annual meeting where the award will be presented.
AES Mid-Career Achievement Award
This award is given for exceptional contributions to the field of Electrophoresis, Electrokinetics, and related areas by an individual who is currently in the middle of their career.
- Nominees in academia must have been promoted to a tenured/associate professor rank or equivalent within the last 10 years
- Nominees working in government or industry must be between 10 and 20 years away from their terminal degree
AES Distinguished Service Award
The AES Electrophoresis Society Distinguished Service Award honors individuals that have had significant long-term involvement with the society and made a considerable effort toward its success and growth. Typically, that person will have served with excellence in many different capacities and will have contributed to the continuing success of the society through consistent dedication.
Typically, one award is presented every other year. The Awards Committee can present additional awards as necessary upon a formal request from the president. The Distinguished Service Award is presented at the AES Annual Meeting. The recipient of the award will receive one complementary registration for the annual meeting where the award will be presented, a plaque, and a certificate of lifetime membership in the society.
AES Blue Fingers Student Award
The AES Student Award recognizes the most outstanding student paper submitted for the AES Annual Conference by a graduate student. The award recipient will receive a complimentary conference registration* and financial support (up to $700) to attend the AES Annual Conference. The financial support can be used to cover transportation, hotel accommodation and meals. In order to their presentation considered for the AES ‘Blue Fingers’ Student Award, students should submit their abstracts to one the sessions organized by AES during the call for abstracts. The abstract can be submitted to an oral AES session or to the AES poster session.
